FLM- How would you describe your art?
I’m an urban contemporary visual artist that expresses my creativity with surrealism and cultural elements & influences.
FLM- What was your experience like when you first began doing your artwork?
In the beginning it was very tough getting different art galleries and museums to take my style of art seriously. But I just kept continuing to create things that inspired me. Slowly different people started to warm up to my style of art.
FLM- Describe to us your creative process, how do you get in your zone?
Well music definitely has to be playing in the background. I listen to all types of music from 80’s Hiphop to Lo-Chill instrumentals. Anything that gets my hands to move will work. Most of the time when I hear music I can see the different colors in my mind
FLM- What are you bringing to the world that it doesn't have right now?
Originality for sure! A lot of my artwork is from my own imagination. I want my artwork to inspire millions of people but definitely the youth.
FLM- Who or what inspires you artistically?
When I first started creating art as a kid the tv show Good Times with the Ernie Barnes paintings and the movie Beat Street was a heavy influence on my creativity. But now I’m inspired artistically by so many artists like Justin Bua.
FLM- Where has your career taken you so far?
I have received a lot of recognition nationally and internationally. My artwork has been shown in the UK, Rome, Mexico and South Africa. It’s definitely reaching so many different people.
FLM- How would you describe your creative style?
My creative style has some street and graffiti elements with some cultural influences mixed with it.
FLM- What are some other hobbies or interest of yours?
Well, I’m a foodie and I love to travel. Seeing different places and meeting different people definitely inspires me.
FLM- Who have you collaborated with so far?
Some of my collaborators have been with Direct Energy, Whole Foods, NFL Super Bowl Committee and Indio Beer Company just to name a few.
Who do you want to work with in the future?
I’m pretty open to work with anybody that’s creative and has good vibes around them.
FLM- Any projects that we should be on the lookout for?
I’m featured in the mini documentary called Live and In Color that should be coming out in a few weeks on YouTube. I’m also working on other projects that I can’t mention at the moment.
